The Girls JV Soccer Team continued their winning ways Wednesday. With hard work and hustle, the Lady Mustangs topped Miss Hall's 6-1. Laurel Stine started the scoring early, placing a direct kick just out of reach of the visiting keeper and into the back of the net. Fran Gottwald added to Millbrook's early lead with a great shot from outside the 18. An excellent combination of team passing led to the next goal by Bria Horsley to end the half.
Beginning the second half with a 3-1 lead, the girls continued their great play. Amelia Ferris scored the first goal of the second half, while Brenna Connelly tacked on two more. Keeper Sarah Collins was once again up to the task, only allowing one goal.
The girls played an excellent game. The defense worked hard, limiting the scoring chances by Miss Hall's. Carolina Calero, Emily Hoffman, Laurel Stine, Ariana Montenegro, and Bailey Summers contributed to this effort. As always, the midfielders worked extremely hard to control the flow of the game. Bria Horsley put in a complete effort up front distributing the ball well, which led to many of our scoring chances.
