Mustangs Roll 5-1

The Girls JV Soccer Team notched another win over Hotchkiss in an outstanding performance.  After taking a few minutes to adjust to the turf, the Lady Mustangs took control of the game.  The girls' hard work and implementation of plays/skills introduced in practice led to a pair of goals by Brenna Connolly in the first half.

Going into the second half, Millbrook looked to build on their lead.  The girls did just that.  Brenna Connelly was able to tally another score to complete her second hat trick of the early season.  Effort and grit by the midfielders led to two more goals by Bailey Summers and Franziska Gottwald.

The girls are ever improving, demonstrating a better and more clear understanding of the game.  Juliana Mittermeier played an amazing second half, moving back to sweeper.  Her tactical awareness, along with fellow defenders Emily Hoffman and Hannah Hill's nonstop efforts, limited Hotchkiss to just one goal.  Sarah Collins was again up to the test in net.  Sarah's aggressive play halted many attempts by Hotchkiss.  The team plays again, hosting Westover, this Saturday.
