Deciding Point

Matthew Amos
We're at that point in the season where we've largely identified the areas in which we're lacking and, moving forward into the final weeks, it's up to us whether or not we're willing to put in the time and effort to make the necessary improvements in order to be a more competitive team. On the whole, barring one or two exceptions, we didn't make those improvements today, though I'm hopeful we're on the cusp as a group of moving up to the next level.

A shining light on an otherwise cloudy day was Blake Aston's performance in both singles and doubles. Blake has made significant improvements since the beginning of the season, especially in terms of his consistency and his footwork. Teddy Wilson also nearly pulled off a hard-fought victory, falling in a third-set tiebreaker to an opponent just a tad more consistent with depth and placement.
