A Great Day for Dutchess

Millbrook traveled to neighboring Dutchess Day School for today's contest. The DDS team had some talented players and they played with an aggressive, swarming defense. Every time there was a ground ball you could be sure that DDS would have at least 3 girls battling for it. The Millbrook girls played calm and composed through the scrums and were able to win a majority of these 50/50 balls. Millbrook's offense was challenged by the aggressive DDS defensive play, but with a little patience and some well placed feeds, they were able to break into the 8-meter and start scoring goals. On the defensive side, Millbrook did a great job forcing turnovers and keeping the DDS shooters outside of the center lane. This was a close and hard-fought game, in scorching hot conditions, but the Millbrook girls worked hard for all 50 minutes and they deserved the win today!
