Close Match with Rumsey

Millbrook traveled to Rumsey Hall this afternoon for another hard-fought contest. Millbrook got and early lead of 5-0 in the first half, but Rumsey was not ready to quit. The Rumsey girls stepped up their game in the second half. They did a great job shutting down our fast break and their keeper made some spectacular saves to give them an edge. They also worked hard and beat us to a number of 50/50 balls. The Millbrook girls responded in kind, but we were not able to stop Rumsey’s momentum. Overall, the game was exciting and very well fought. While Millbrook was disappointed to go home with the loss, we will learn from our mistakes and use this experience to get better for our next contest.
