Hard-Fought at Hotchkiss

The girls of JV Tennis scrambled together after a long, rainy day of Saturday classes and the dreaded SAT! Needless to say conditions were not ideal, but the girls didn't let this phase them. After a quick warm-up they jumped right into their matches. Hotchkiss got an early lead in almost every match, but Millbrook persevered. Once the girls had thoroughly shaken vocab words and multiple choice bubbles from their minds they found the resolve to fight back. Of the eight matches, three went to extra games and three went all the way to a 7-point tiebreak. Millbrook won five of these extra long matches. One of our goals for the season was to be a hard-working team and we've been working to develop our competitive edge in matches. I'd say that Saturday is proof that all of the girls' hard work is starting to pay off! Nice job ladies!
