With summer rushing in, Millbrook School took one last opportunity to celebrate springtime as a community with the annual Spring Carnival on Sunday, capping off a weekend packed with a Science Symposium, Holbrook Made art exhibit opening, and Golden Lips a cappella competition. The rainy weather was less than ideal, but it wasn’t enough to stop students from having their fun.
All afternoon, the Flagler Quad was abuzz with activity. Students played volleyball, spike ball, and wiffle ball on the lawn. They also waged water wars, soaking each other with water guns, water balloons, and a dunk tank.
All that activity worked up some pretty serious appetites. Luckily, the boys from Case Hall manned their grill, passing out burgers and hot dogs. And for dessert, students headed over to the World Culture Food Festival happening in the big tent by Casertano Hall to sample 29 different sweet dishes.
With just a few weeks left until graduation, Spring Carnival was a great way for everyone to let off some steam before hitting the books to prepare for final exams. There were smiles all around, and you can view some of them by clicking on the link below:
