Strong Bats from St. Luke’s

L Peterson
Millbrook welcomed St. Luke’s on a beautiful Thursday afternoon. Due to Saturday’s forecast looking less than ideal, Millbrook and St. Luke’s decided to move our game earlier in the week. A big shout out to the athletic departments from both schools for making this game happen!

The St. Luke’s offense was strong from the start with the top half of the line-up making good contact and finding holes in the defense.

The Millbrook bats also made good contact throughout the game but weren’t able to create a rally, despite having runners in scoring position in the first and second innings (Meghan Abbate ‘26 with a double and Emma Lattrell ‘26 with a single who was moved over by Sherry Yang ‘29).

Defensive highlights:
-Abbate with a 4-strike out first inning, as St. Luke’s left the bases loaded
-a quick 1-2-3 inning in the 4th inning, featuring Jaicee Downs ‘26 catching a St. Luke’s runner on the steal attempt with a great tag by Joiee Downs ‘29
