The Mustangs came within inches of beating a team that beat us 7-0 in our last contest.
Playing a physical Brunswick squad, the Millbrook boys IIIrds team showed off improved field vision and passing, and notably better defensive ability. Deep into the game, the Mustangs were leading, thanks to fantastic goals from Lachlan Whelan and Trevor Klug. Ray Kim, who had two assists on the day, also hit the crossbar on a shot of his own. We are immensely proud of our team, which showed today how much they have grown over the last few weeks. The last time we played Brunswick, we lost 7-0. To come away with a tie in the second match, and nearly a win, is an incredible indication of how hard the players are working to improve during practice. We tip our hats to them.
