Another Small but Mighty Squad Outraces Kent on Their Home Course

While injuries have slowed some of our team of late, our core once again showed up to compete at Kent on Saturday. The Kent course has been changed to more grassy paths and fewer technical elements, making for some faster times on this terrain than in past years. Joiee Downs went out in first and increased her lead against Kent's #1 runner throughout the second and third miles. She finished in 22:51, just off her best time of the season. Ingrid Schmitt crossed in 3rd, Eloise Hegeman in 4th, and Jaicee Downs in 6th, in 24:24, 24:28, and 25:51, respectively. Anya Kelmanovich fought hard all race, passing several Kent runners and finishing in 12th place to cement Millbrook's win. Berkshire next Saturday, where we hope to have a fuller squad!
