Andy Sassatelli '28 dusted her competition in the first mile and never looked back, winning the division 2 race handily
The cross-country season is officially open! The annual Canterbury Invitational did not disappoint, with perfect running conditions and an exceptional performance by Millbrook's girls. Millbrook's top five finishers included Andy Sassatelli '28 in 1st, Joiee Downs '29 in 15th (in her first 5k race), and an impressive pack of Eloise Hegeman '27, Ingrid Schmitt '26, and Jaicee Downs '26 in 31st, 32nd, and 38th, respectively. This group earned Millbrook second place in the entire invitational, just behind first-place Hoosac, with runners from 18 teams represented overall. Also racing for Millbrook were Nga Ho '26 and Erica Murray '28, also running her first 5k. Congrats to all! To say we're excited for the season ahead would be an understatement. Next race is at home against Frederick Gunn this Saturday, September 27th.
