Athletes thrive at Millbrook, with access to 13 sports across three seasons, dedicated and skilled coaches, and high-level competition against other top northeastern boarding schools. All that adds up to success, as many of our student-athletes go on to play in college and at the professional level, and on Thursday, two more Mustangs committed to compete at the NCAA Division I level next year.
Justin Munoz Matrille ’26 — Virginia Tech, Baseball
Justin Munoz Matrille ’26 committed to play for the Virginia Tech Hokies baseball squad. Winner of the 2024 boys varsity baseball MVP and Hustle awards, Justin joins a Hokies team that that went 31-25 last season and made it to the second round of the ACC championship. He’ll play conference games against powerhouses like Clemson, Duke, UNC, Virginia, and Georgia Tech.
Tyler Tatelman ’26 will head to Fairfield, Connecticut, to join the Sacred Heart University Pioneers men’s lacrosse team. SHU holds back-to-back MAAC conference regular-season titles, and they won the MAAC Tournament in 2024.
