Millbrook took the short trip to Class A Kent on Wednesday. The hosts have been putting up solid results in the last two weeks while the Mustangs had been working to get healthy. Millbrook crossed up a direct ball early in the game and one of Kent's ever dangerous strikers put home the first goal of the game.
The visitors started to gain some traction and ultimately knotted the game on a beautiful ball from Reid Howe that found Artie Ambuhl in the box. Ambuhl beat the central defender and put home a clinical finish. The game remained a deadlock until the 74th minute. Third former Tahirou Traore served a beautifully driven corner kick into the middle of the six-yard box, where Captain Ross Ezrow, who had returned from a month-long stint on the injured list, headed it home.
Despite the efforts of Kent, Millbrook held steadfast in the back through outstanding play by keeper Paul LaPage and defenders Kevin Fajardo, Ajak Dau, Hector Stephenson, and Frankie Lombardo.
