On a night when five starters were hit by injuries, the Mustangs did their best to battle Class A Berkshire School under the lights on the turf. Marcus Paul provided two goals (a PK and a clinical finish in the bottom left corner), and Ajak Dau headed home a beautiful corner kick from Tahirou Traore, giving the home side a 3-2 lead at the half. Injuries continued to pile up, and despite the best efforts of the reserves, the team got stretched and had to chase the game after going down a goal. That led to Berkshire exploiting the counterattack and adding two more goals.
We travel to Greens Farms on Wednesday for a significant Class C match.
