Broadway Actress Margot Seibert Leads Master Class for Students
Margo Seibert, who was last seen as Adrian in Broadway’s Rocky, visited Millbrook to workshop with our students in the performing arts.
Margot Seibert is the first artist featured in the vocal music master class program for 2015. The goal of the program is to promote a culture on campus where lead artists of Broadway, TV/film and opera visit to work with our students. The visiting artists offer students outside input on their craft and the chance to begin networking.
Ms. Seibert visited last weekend and worked with multiple student groups. She coached a few of our vocal artists individually and encouraged them to dig deeper into their musical intentions and to make personal connections that would free their bodies to become vessels for the music. She also spent time with the Doo Wop girls from Millbrook’s upcoming musical, Little Shop of Horrors. She talked about how to be an individual voice within a trio, and how to take their work to the next level. Lastly, Ms. Seibert coached the Millbrook singers on how to further develop and grow their sound.
