Millbrook’s Racquet Club Reception in Manhattan

Over 150 guests gathered and spent time catching up the annual Millbrook Reception in New York City.
Millbrook was delighted to host alumni, parents, and friends at the Racquet & Tennis Club in New York City on November 4th. A great time was had, as stories were shared and old friends were reacquainted.

Bob Anthony '65 welcomed everyone before Headmaster Drew Casertano spoke briefly about the state of the school. Alumni and parents asked good, relevant questions, including Kathleen Dill '85 who inquired about what kind of student a Millbrook student is today. In response, Drew said,

“Students who are motivated and eager to learn, who respond well to adult attention, who are willing to try new things and who want to be part of a community. We ask our students to explore courses that are challenging and to take risks. It's not unusual for a Millbrook student who arrived identifying himself as a hockey player to become an honors art student, to do advanced biology research at the zoo, and to become a role model as a dorm leader for the III formers. ALL students at Millbrook are needed in all areas of school life, and our goal is to help them all become successful in the wide variety of things they do here."
