Cynthia McWilliams Joins Millbrook's Alumni/Development Team

As of July 1, Cynthia McWilliams, Millbrook’s longtime director of admission, joined the Alumni/Development Office as the director of constituent relations. As such, she becomes an important liaison between the office and alumni, parents and friends, focusing her efforts on building and strengthening relationships and connections. So expect to hear from or see Cindy as she reaches out and spreads the word about Millbrook’s many successes.

Having served as a member of the Millbrook faculty and administration for 33 years, Cindy is perfectly suited for this new position. Not only does she know our community inside and out, but she has become a respected leader in her field. Under her expert leadership as director of admission, Millbrook’s enrollment increased by more than 50%, from a student body of 170 to one of 260. The Alumni/Development Office can only benefit by the energy and expertise she will bring to her new position.

Over the years Cindy has become well acquainted with our students and their families; in fact, the entire McWilliams family played a huge role in enriching the Millbrook experience of several generations of alumni. She and her husband Rick — a 34-year faculty member and former athletic director — have opened their home to so many of them. In addition their children, Trevor ’01 and Carly ’05, are Millbrook graduates as is Cindy’s brother, Craig Seward.

During her 30+ years in admissions, Cindy met and surmounted countless challenges; as she begins to immerse herself in her new role, she looks forward to the fresh challenges ahead!
