Senior Prizes Awarded for Outstanding Achievement and Contributions

Parents, faculty, and students gathered on Flagler Quad the night before graduation to celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions of our graduating seniors. With a warm welcome, Headmaster Drew Casertano proudly recognized the purpose of this special gathering:

Each Millbrook student faces a unique challenge: to find personal success in ways that enrich the whole. No small task, but exactly as it should be in a community whose motto is “not just for oneself, but for all”.

As we define it, true excellence – Millbrook excellence – can be found only in those moments when an individual uses his or her abilities to succeed personally and enhance the experience of the larger group; when a student is engaged in “the simultaneous pursuit of the best self and the common good”.

We come together this evening to honor this excellence in the class of 2010. Tonight, we will recognize those seniors whose efforts, performances, and contributions to the greater good have distinguished themselves and their school.
