A stomach virus hit the Millbrook Girls JV squad this week leaving 10 of the 25 girls on the team unable to play in the game. The remaining members of the team played valiantly against Greenwich, holding the team to only 3 goals in the second half. Most of the girls spent the entire game on the field, but never once showed fatigue nor relented in their determination. The midfielders (led by Kathryn Whalen, Emma Silvershein, Celia Manny and Shannon Campion) and the defense certainly got a work out and many girls (Mariah Lavitt, Megan Butts, and Maya Beckles, to name a few) were called upon to play positions they do not normally play. The girls played admirably and are looking forward to their next game against Indian Mountain School.
