An outstanding hockey player during his four years at Millbrook School, 2001 alumnus Mike Madill is now a rising star in the National Hockey League. After a record-setting college career at St. Lawrence University, Madill made his move into the world of professional hockey upon signing with the Minnesota Wild as a rookie free agent defenseman.
An outstanding hockey player during his four years at Millbrook School, 2001 alumnus Mike Madill is now a rising star in the National Hockey League. After a record-setting college career at St. Lawrence University, Madill made his move into the world of professional hockey upon signing with the Minnesota Wild as a rookie free agent defenseman.
Madill's impressive statistics with the St. Lawrence Saints of the Eastern College Athletic Conference include school records in games played (154) and in consecutive games played (153). Named the ECAC's Best Defensive Defenseman in 2006, Madill was the third player in the Saint's hockey history to earn the league's top defensive award. According to the ECAC hockey league, "Madill, a Saint captain and the lone senior on a defensive unit which included a quartet of freshmen, also made significant contributions for the Saints offensively, finishing his senior year with a career high 27 points on five goals and 22 assists."
