The Mustangs demonstrated significant growth in their ability to "see" the field.
The Millbrook boys IIIrds soccer team looked like a cohesive group in their recent win against a small but talented Trinity-Pawling team. Excellent passing, which depends on first seeing the field and knowing where teammates are, allowed the Mustangs to take an early lead and distribute playing time broadly across our deep bench. Scoring for the home team were Luke Molland and Trevor Klug. Captain Lachlan Whelan also found the back of the net three times. Fans were treated to outstanding defensive performances from Jason Zhang, who dazzled despite playing in a new position. Notable contributions also came from a back line featuring the stalwart "Thunder and Lightning," Ray Matano and Peter Wilkie, who led a rotating cast of younger players that each made contributions on the defensive wings.
