For the second time in three matches, Millbrook fell to Kent School, this time 1-3 at home (25-22, 17-25, 13-25, 12-25)
The Mustangs came out of the gate firing on all cylinders. Thanks to a few missed serves and some terrific defense, Millbrook was able to jump out to an early lead and fend off a few runs from Kent to roll to a 25-22 victory. While there were many long points involving diving one-handed saves on both side of the net, stuff blocks and some powerful attacks, Kent's ability from the service line proved to be too much for Millbrook to handle. They were able to stymie any runs by the Mustangs and win the remaining three games handily. Ripley Sobo led the way with 24 digs in the match. Danielle Singer had 9 kills, while Kimmie Jenkins recorded 6 of her own. Simone Yañez led the team with 15 assists. The Mustangs will travel to Berkshire on Wednesday, October 17 @ 2:30 p.m.
