Strong Performance over Kent
Kent traveled to Millbrook on a scorcher of an afternoon for today's game. Millbrook got off to a great start today winning draws and dominating possession. However, the girls’ true strength came from their ability to win ground balls all over the field. The team worked on ground balls all day at practice yesterday and it surely paid off! Millbrook was able to control much of the game because of their work ethic. The offense generated some fantastic plays, including a very impressive "pretzel" and the scoring was spread throughout the team. Millbrook's defensive core played strong as always, generating many turnovers and shutting down the Kent offense. Jackie Crowley had a particularly strong game in the cage! The girls are getting ready to end the season with back-to-back games this weekend at Dutchess Day and Hotchkiss.
