Westover

Girls JV Tennis traveled to Westover on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Westover's team was young, but brought plenty of height and athleticism. The first sets were evenly split across both teams. Westover persevered and came away with the win in second and third sets. Gracie Filler looked fantastic at number 2 singles, winning her match in 2 straight sets. Allison Miller and Olivia Garofalo proved themselves to be a steady and powerful doubles team playing at number 3. They won their match in 2 straight sets. Sarah Collins, Whittier Ambrose and Nicole Quintanilla de Toit  (number 1 singles and doubles, respectively) had played gritty and determined matches through three sets. Overall, the girls played hard, but walked away a little disappointed with their performance. We were not out-skilled, just out-worked and a little less focused than our opponents. We go back to work on Monday, preparing for our next match against Hotchkiss.
