Science is a big deal at Millbrook. Students have the unique opportunity to study nature at the
Trevor-Lovejoy Zoo and across 800 acres of marshland and forests, and there are countless opportunities for sociological study in a community with hundreds of teenagers and adults. So, one of the highlights of the school year is the annual Science Symposium, when our
Advanced Science Research students present their findings from yearlong projects.

This year six students presented, showcasing rigorous research on a variety of exciting topics. Their college-level work encompassed scientific papers, posters, and oral presentations of their processes and findings. Led by Dr. Kerry Dore, the young scientists studied endangered animals in the zoo, the local ecosystem, neurology, and virology:
Presentations were crowded with students and faculty curious to find out what the researchers had discovered about campus and its inhabitants. The impressive projects reinforced the fact that there’s no better place for high school students to explore environmental conservation and science than Millbrook. Our scientific resources and expert faculty are unmatched, giving students interested in the sciences a running start when they matriculate to some of the top universities in the world.
