The Millbrook girls traveled to Westover on Saturday. After a delayed start and being forced to warm-up without a net, the girls were rearing to take the field! Millbrook got off to an early start, leading the game 8-0 after the first 15 minutes of play. While the fast break was certainly working, Millbrook changed strategy and started to develop their passing game through the midfield and settled offense. The girls rose to the challenge. Westover played a strong defense through the midfield, but the Millbrook girls did a great job cutting to open space and communicating with each other. Our shooting was slowed in the second half, but the girls showed tremendous improvement in other areas of the game. Esther Kaplan put on a particularly strong performance today. She hustled all across the field winning ground balls, driving to goal, and playing fierce defense! It was exciting to see the individual and collective growth all over the field.
