Season Opener with IMS

Millbrook girls JV lacrosse season kicked off to a great start this afternoon. We faced a young, but fast squad from IMS. The scoring action for Millbrook was spread across seven different players. The girls battled hard for possession in the midfield and did a fantastic job of working the ball around the arc while in the offensive zone. On defense we were challenged by a handful of particularly fast and skilled IMS girls. After making a few adjustments at the half, Millbrook was largely able to shut down the IMS fast-break. While many girls stepped up and performed well today we all agreed that one girl deserves a shout out: Lizzie Zimmerman! Lizzie anchored our low defense. Her natural defensive instincts and her speed were KEY in shutting down the IMS attackers. We are excited to continue building on this season with our next game against Hotchkiss.
