Playing without several starters on a well-weathered field, the mustangs had trouble settling and passing the ball on the ground, something that, under normal conditions, is increasingly a strength of the team. Despite this trouble, the team showed many encouraging signs. Several of our younger players showed significant growth, especially in their ability to contain on defense and move into space without the ball when attacking. Game dynamics allowed us to give one of our young players half a game in net! In general, we ask our players to improve. We were proud to see growth across the healthy side of our roster.
