Short-Handed Mustangs Fall to the Dragons

With four starters sidelined with injuries, the Mustangs traveled to Greens Farms to take on the current #1 team in Class C. The first half ended at 0-0, and the reserves who were filling in for the injured players did a solid job holding things down. The second half saw a throw-in get in behind the defense, and a Greens Farms forward finished it off a half volley with a stunning shot. The Mustangs pressed for a tying goal, dominating play and thwarting counterattacks from the Dragons. Unfortunately, late in the game the home side had a counterattack that resulted in the second goal.

We move on to Saturday, when we will host Williston-Northampton School on McWilliams Field.
