The 2025 Fall New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) awards have been announced, and six Mustang soccer stars are winners—including boys varsity soccer standout Ajak Dau ’26, who won the NEPSAC Class C Player of the Year award.

A postgraduate from Charlotte, Vermont, Ajak picked up the accolade for his impressive work on the backline this year, which helped lead his team to the seventh NEPSAC championship in school history. He also received All-NEPSAC Honors, along with Marcus Paul ’27 and Paul LaPage ’27. Oliver Hougland ’26 and Tahirou Traore ’29 earned All-NEPSAC Honorable Mentions.

With three underform All-NEPSAC winners on the squad, watch out for a NEPSAC title repeat in fall 2026!

Over on the girls varsity soccer side, Merritt Tessier ’27 received an All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention. The girls gutted out an injury-plagued season, winning just three matches, but Merritt played hard throughout and earned the award.

“Congratulations to Merritt after a very tough and challenging season!” said Girls Varsity Soccer Head Coach Gordie MacKenzie ’79.

Merritt also made appearances in the Women’s Western New England Prep School Soccer Association (WWNEPSSA) and NEPSAC Junior All-Star games. She was one of eight Mustangs who earned All-Star recognition this fall.
