Melissa Sheeran Named New England Division II Player of the Year

The coaches of the 29 schools that comprise NEPSAC’s Division II league voted Melissa Sheeran the 2014 player of the year.
Melissa has played on the girls varsity hockey team for the past four years. In that time, she set a career points record by amassing 152 points. She also holds records for career goals (96) career assists (56), season goals (36 in ’13-14) and season assists (25 in ’12-13). She is a two-way player, being excellent on the defensive end as well.

Coach Ed Allen summed up Melissa’s Millbrook hockey career saying, “It is no coincidence that the two best seasons of girls hockey in Millbrook School’s history happened during Melissa’s final two years. She is so competitive, and one of the most talented players with the puck I have ever seen. Most importantly, her work ethic is off the charts, and you have to drag her off the ice.”
