Mrs. Casertano, Millbrook’s First Lady, joined the faculty in the summer of 2004 as interim Associate Director of Development. A year later, she was appointed Associate Director of Admission and Director of Financial Aid and has served in this capacity for 13 years. In June of 2018, she relinquished her responsibilities in admission to focus on her role as Director of Financial Aid.
Mrs. Casertano brings a wealth of experience to her work at Millbrook. A graduate of Albany Academy for Girls and Smith College, she has been involved in development and admissions at a number of schools since 1979 (Loomis Chaffee, The Gunnery, Dutchess Day School, and Indian Mountain School). Not only has Mrs. Casertano “done everything” in an educational setting during the past 39 years – from teaching and advising, producing publications, running a dormitory, fundraising, and more – she and her husband, Headmaster Drew Casertano, have raised three boys: Alex, Tyler, and Will.
In addition to her responsibilities as Director of Financial Aid, Mrs. Casertano hosts many events held for students, parents, alumni, and trustees at Pulling House, the Headmaster’s residence. She enjoys gardening, tennis and golf, and spending time with her grandchildren.
