Director of Admission Cindy McWilliams Moves to New Alumni/Development Role

Jill Kane
We are delighted to announce that Cynthia McWilliams, Millbrook’s longtime director of admission, will be joining the Alumni/Development Office on July 1, 2010 as the director of constituent relations. Having served as a member of the Millbrook faculty and administration for 33 years, Cindy is perfectly suited for this new position. Not only does she know our community inside and out, but she has become a respected leader in her field. Under her expert leadership as director of admission, Millbrook’s enrollment increased by more than 50%, from a student body of 170 to one of 260. The Alumni/Development Office can only benefit by the energy and expertise she will bring to her new position.

Over the years Cindy has become well acquainted with our students and their families; in fact, the entire McWilliams family played a huge role in enriching the Millbrook experience of several generations of alumni. She and her husband Rick—34-year faculty member and former athletic director—opened their home to so many of them. In addition their children, Trevor ’01 and Carly ’05, are Millbrook graduates as is Cindy’s brother, Craig Seward ’79.

Cindy looks forward to her new role and the fresh challenges ahead. She will focus her efforts on building and strengthening relationships and connections with our increasing number of graduates and friends.

Our search for her successor as director of admission will begin immediately, and we all wish Cindy well as she transitions from admissions to development later this year. She hopes to see many of you in 2010-2011 and beyond.
