Tight road win

Pretty ideal day for Tennis produced a great match at Canterbury.  Just watching the warm-up, you could tell it would be close...and it was!  Very proud of the team for the way they battled, came back, held on for wins, and of course for their sportsmanship.  Maggie Jones led the way at #1 frustrating her opponent, and digging deep to win 6-3, 6-3, after going down 0-3 in the second set. Molly and Elle lost their first sets but cam roaring back to make it really close, with both losing in tiebreakers - great moxie from these two today!  Catherine eked out a tiebreaker win in the first set, then found her angles and cruised to a 6-1 victory in the second.  Whitney and Neve lost the first then battled back and had a lead in the second before their opponents also raised their game.  Lily and Sophie had a close first set but rolled in the second.  Finally, Tracy and Lucy dominated at #3 dubs.  Both exhibition teams also won convincingly.  Overall, a great job from the whole team - coaches could not be more proud of the way they competed today!
