Frederick Gunn Dual Meet

The Millbrook Mustangs hosted Frederick Gunn for the last home meet of the season on Wednesday, November 1^st. This race also signified “senior day” and the last race prior to the big New England Invitational meet on Saturday, November 11^th. It wouldn’t be a cross country meet in the fall 2023 season without some extreme weather… and this Wednesday did not disappoint. Just prior to the race start, there was a little bit of snow and hail before the sun poked out. As a team, Millbrook ran extremely well on the day, and the ‘Stangs ended up defeating Frederick Gunn by a final score of 24-33. Many Millbrook boys posted “PRs,” or personal records, on this chilly race day. Sixth former Jack Evans won the race outright in a time of 20:22, and classmate Luke Sosnow took second in a time of 21:34. To round out the team scoring, fifth former Niklas Gradin took fifth place (24:11), sixth former George Wilkins came in seventh (25:06), and fifth former Marvin Sun nailed a ninth place finish (26:59). The team’s fourth senior, Danny Bergin, ran a very strong race and recorded a time of 29:10. Now, the Mustangs have a few more hard training days ahead and then get to enjoy a long taper next week.
