Cheshire defeats Millbrook 39-28

The Millbrook Mustangs put together a spirted first half vs. a talented Cheshire Academy team. Down 15-14 at the half and with key players Kimora Jenkins ’21 and Lizzie Chamberlin ’19 in foul trouble the Mustangs were optimistic heading into the break. The well-coached Cheshire Academy team used a couple of timely three pointers to fuel an early second half run to gain a 10-point lead. The Mustangs continued to compete and were able to cut the lead to as few as five late in the game but were unable to get over the hump. Millbrook showed toughness against adversity and played hard until the final whistle.

  • Khya Jenkins ’21 led the Mustangs with 15 rebounds, 9 points, and 5 deflections off the bench
  • Lizzie Chamberlin ’19 continued her strong start to the season with 5 points and 7 rebounds and numerous 50-50 balls won for Millbrook.
  • Kimora Jenkins ’21 contributed a solid 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
  • Daniela Muscari ’19 was perfect from the free throw line, played excellent on the ball defense and contributed 6 deflections.
