semi-final success

John Siegenthaler
With the snow pushed aside, the Mustangs played King School this afternoon in the semifinal match of the New England Prep School Athletic Council tournament. The early minutes were a tussle of two well-matched sides. Slowly, the boys in blue gained some traction and applied the pressure to King. The eventual game winner was scored in the 30th minute and the tally at half was 2 – 0. The Mustangs came out in the second with energy and Bouda went on a scoring run. Cott, Tardio and Roberts each earned assists in the process. We needed everyone’s help this afternoon and each played well. Simons and Frankenbach filled in masterfully in the back; King and Moriarty spelled their counterparts skillfully. Our sixth formers played their last home game with style and enthusiasm.

We move on to the NEPSAC Class C championship game tomorrow. We play the Highlanders of Pingree (MA) School at Worcester Academy in Worcester, MA. Game time is 4:30 pm on Morse Field. Go Mustangs!
