round one

John Siegenthaler
Yesterday, the boys faced Greens Farms in the quarterfinal game of the New England tournament. The team jumped out to an energetic start, controlled play and frustrated the Dragons at every turn. Goals in the 10th (Bouda to break his own scoring record of last year) and 44th minutes put the Mustangs ahead at the half. Greens Farms rallied in the second to pull within one before Millbrook slammed the door, scoring 3 goals in 15 minutes. Stark found the back of the net after a long dry spell; Oberfeld rang up an assist. Cott came in at midfield to play his best game of the season. Simons spelled Conte and DeStazio did the same for Bouda; all four played well.

The team eagerly awaits our semifinal game to be played on Saturday, at home, against the Vikings of King (CT) School. Game time has been adjusted – we now play at 1:30 pm on the turf.
