salute to our sixth formers
The boys played their last home game of the regular season this afternoon on the turf against Cheshire Academy. The sixth formers started the afternoon for us and played very well. The back four, all seniors, turned in their usual steady game, giving up few opportunities to Cheshire’s forwards. Moriarty started in the midfield and put in a fine showing. Up top, Bouda, together with Sosnow and Grossman, generated one chance after another. The game winner, scored by Bouda, came in the 5th minute of play. We continued to press, changed players liberally, and kept Cheshire off balance. Domber played a strong defensive game, as did Cott and Peters. And, Oberfeld made several remarkable, and critical, saves both to maintain our lead and to preserve the shut-out.
