Positive Improvments

Bergstedt
While not a pretty win, the team showed improvements from the the first game. With a goal off a cross and some good control of the ball in midfield including many attempts at switching the point of attack, we demonstrated that we are a group of footballers who will continue to get better and better.
Thanks to the Brunswick coaches and players for making the trip. Our apologies for not having officials present and thanks for being open to still getting the game played with a Millbrook coach standing in as referee. Officiating aside, Millbrook went up 1-0 after a hopeful cross put in from 3rd former Pearson Latse floated over the Brunswick keeper's head and into the back corner of the net. In the second half Millbrook went up 2-0 after Connor Brissette put in a cross from Gordon Lock at the back post. Brunswick got one back on a penalty kick, but soon after Millbrook went back up by 2 after Gordon Lock scored off a penalty kick at the other end. Brunswick beat the defense and stand-in Goallkeeper Will Ricker on a fast break to score the last goal of the game. Millbrook was led by strong CM play from Nathaniel Clizbe, an intelligent and tenacious performance from left back Ethan Kessler, as well as the ever present attacking threat that is Connor Brissette. Ethan Maura had a breakout performance in midfield and if he can continue this type of play going forward, we can expect good things to come.
