Millbrook JV Team comes in First against Indian Mountain School and Second against Rumsey Hall School

Coach Meltzer
On an overcast Wednesday afternoon, the Millbrook Junior Varsity team raced against Rumsey Hall and Indian Mountain School.  The race took advantage of Millbrook's beautiful home course, and an adapted route of 2.768 miles provided a great distance for the teams.  Millbrook's JV team, comprised of runners from both the boys' and girls’ JV teams, won the race against Indian Mountain School and came in second against Rumsey Hall's team.  Runner Charlie Weisberg ('21) finished first, winning the race against both schools.

Against Indian Mountain, Millbrook runners Will Ricker ('20), Yassin Amir ('21) and Buzz Galbraith ('18) finished 3rd, 4th, and 5th, respectively.  Following this group, Anna Wilson ('21) came in 7th and Sam Levy ('21) finished 8th.  Running against some former schoolmates, Fenway Powers ('21) crossed the finish line in 9th place.  Simon Thue ('21) gave a strong effort, finishing in 16th, and Clare Carty ('19) finished in 17th place.

In the lineup against Rumsey Hall, Millbrook runners Will Ricker ('20) and Yassin Amir ('21) finished 6th and 7th.  Buzz Galbraith ('18) came in 10th, with Anna Wilson ('21) in 13th and Sam Levy ('21) in 14th.  Fenway Powers ('21) crossed the finish line in 17th place.  Simon Thue ('21) finished in 28th and Clare Carty ('19) came in 30th place.

All runners put in strong efforts and hard work on this hilly, lightly-wooded course.  Thanks to everyone who came out to race and to support the runners!
