St. Luke's returns to the schedule

The boys’ varsity soccer team opened our season against St. Luke’s on Saturday. The first half was a relatively even affair with each team trading scoring opportunities and the run of play. The St. Luke’s keeper made several exceptional saves to keep Millbrook off the score board. After the half, Millbrook roared onto the field and, in the first 2 minutes, Bouda scored what proved to be the game winner on a nice assist from Seaver. We continued to play hard and well, earning a second goal when Grossman sent Bouda in behind St. Luke’s defense in the seventieth minute. Day anchored our defense ably all afternoon while Rode Viesca played inspired soccer up front. The midfield trio of Roberts, Tardio and Darmon were stand-outs.
