Mustangs Close Out Regular Season with 18-0 Win over GA

The Millbrook Varsity Softball team closed out its regular season in style, notching an 18-0 win over Greenwich Academy on Senior Day. Riley Croghan '18 held the Gators to one hit on the afternoon and went 3-for-3 with 5 RBI at the plate. Three more Millbrook hitters - Jessie Foote '18, Kat Mackey '17, and Helen Boone '19 - added two RBI apiece. The Mustangs helped out defensively as well, with Kelly Phan '18 making a good catch on a towering fly ball in right and Helene Apollon '19 stepping up to play second base and making a pair of put-outs. Every Millbrook batter had at least one run or RBI on the afternoon and reached base at least twice. Special thanks to all of our seniors: Kat Mackey, Maya Holmes, Patricia Smith, and Valerie Tan. Each played a starring role in what has been a wonderful season, and each will be missed next year.
