Possession Game

The mustangs took the field ready to take on the Saints of Canterbury. The game was instantly high energy and intense. Both teams had early opportunities and the full field game was strong.
The mustangs took the field ready to take on the Saints of Canterbury. The game was instantly high energy and intense. Both teams had early opportunities and the full field game was strong. Unfortunately, the refs were inconsistent and really interfered with the momentum of the game. However, both teams played through and produced some great lacrosse. The Saints went up 2-0 before the Mustangs responded. The half ended 7-6 for the Mustangs due to Hannah Cavanaugh `18 working through the buzzer and scoring with 2.6 seconds remaining. After half time, both teams came back out ready to continue the efforts of the first half. Both teams had fantastic goaltending that contributed to such a great game. Late in the second half, Canterbury was able to contain possession of the ball which would lead to the W. Mustangs put on the pressure but could not hold on to the ball in the time of needed possession. The Saints stalled the ball for the last 2 minutes of the game ending the score 12-10.
