Millbrook Threatens in the Seventh But Can't Crack the Tigers
Despite morning precepitation, Millbrook took the field Wednesday afternoon to host the Tigers of Suffield in a matchup of the divisional leaders of the WNEPBL.Both offenses were quiet through three innings, as Chris Reed '17 of Millbroko and his Suffield counterpart combined to limit baserunners and both defenses were strong behind them.
In the fourth, a combination of two Suffield hits and two defensive miscues by Millbrook produced Suffield's two runs. The Mustangs would put the the tying run on second base, twice, in the bottom of the seventh but were unable to find the timely hit they needed.
Millbrook will next host Canterbury on Saturday for a 2PM first pitch.
