Millbrook Tops South Kent
Millbrook travelled to neighboring South Kent on Friday afternoon. The Mustang offense wasted no time, plating 2 runs in the first on an RBI 2B from '17 Sean Hayden that plated '17 Colby Dunlop and '18 JonJon Conahan. Chris Reed threw a masterful 4 innings on the mound, limiting the Cardinal baserunners and leaving the game without allowing a run.
Millbrook added a run in 3rd after back-to-back doubles from Conahan and '17 Trevor Herter. The Mustangs would add 3 more in the 5th after a Dunlop triple, Conahan walk and 2B from Herter. A Hayden 1B socred Herter to make the lead 6-0. The Cardinals bounced back for 4 in the home half of the 6th before '19 Ben Sosnow took the mound in the 7th to record the save.
Millbrook will travel to Cheshire on Saturday afternoon for a 3:30 game.
