Millbrook jumped off the bus ready to play in the rain at Suffield Academy. The rain lifted and it became a perfect day for a lacrosse game. The game went back and forth, with both teams defending their nets hard and capitalizing on errors. At half, the score was 7-5 Millbrook. Millbrook's attack worked very well together, always moving the ball with purpose and finding the teammate in the best scoring position. 7 of Millbrooks 15 goals were assisted by 5 different girls. Kudos to Suffields #17 Bridget Carey, for a strong game and 5 goals against Millbrook. The end of the game was very much a team effort and was dependent on everyone taking care of their role. Maintaining possession of the ball in the last 2 minutes was critical. Millbrook held onto the 15-13 lead to take home their first regular season win.
Kudos to the D unit for playing together and contributing to several positive turnovers that led to goals for the Mustangs! Millbrook takes the field on 4/ 19 against King.
