Mustangs Berkshire Rematch Win

Coach Reiss
The Mustangs hosted a rematch vs Berkshire today in hopes of doing better than the 6-1 loss in December. As the match unfolded and the evens started to finish, it looked as though the result was going to be the same. Henry R at #4 played a flawless 1st game and won 11-4 but lost his focus and dropped the next 3. Dylan at #6 was up against a very good opponent and lost in 3 (Dylan was the only player to win in last Berkshire match!) Zack T at #8 couldn't find his rhythm and lost his exhibition match in 3. With the team down 2, it was up to Rjay to avoid a first round sweep but he was up against the same player who beat him last time in 5. With a new found strategy of consistency, he ripped through his opponent in 3 straight, losing only 11 points total, notching one point for his team. The odds took the courts down 2-1 and played spectacularly! Teddy at #5 lost the first but came back to win the next three while Sam R at #7 once again went to five from 2-1 down to gut out another 5 game win. The boys were now up 3-2 and needed one more. Isaiah at #3 didn't disappoint as he outplayed his opponent in every way, losing only 12 points winning in 3. The match of the day goes to Z. Hollander at #1 who was up against a recruited Egyptian player who beat him in 4 last time. After dropping the first game and with nothing to lose, Zack played magnificent squash and won the next three in dominating fashion clinching the 5-2 win for the Mustangs.
