Skating into 2017

Millbrook hit the road to meet St. George's at a neutral site (Choate) for the first game of the New Year. Both teams had several opportunities throughout the first period but St. Georges would put one away with 2 minutes left in the period off of a hard shot from the point.
Millbrook hit the road to meet St. George's at a neutral site (Choate) for the first game of the New Year. Both teams had several opportunities throughout the first period but St. Georges would put one away with 2 minutes left in the period off of a hard shot from the point. Millbrook started the second period ready to compete and tie it up. Emma Gotthelf `19 scored 5 minutes into the period with a wrap around. However, St. George's responded and 30 seconds later they went ahead. Millbrook struggled to bounce back and held on until SGS found the back of the net again at 4:27, 4:10, and 2:21 in the second period. The period would end 5-1 SGS. Heading into the third Millbrook had a few power play opportunities but was unable to capitalize. Taylor Ham`17 found the back of the net off of a rush at 12:32 and again at 8:52- making it a 5-3 game. Both teams kept pressure on and continued to put pucks on each net. SGS found the net one more time to finish the game. Jessie Foote `18 had a strong game in net and kudos to Kaitlyn Pike `18 and Ella Horn `18 for well played games.
