"Millbrook traveled over to Washington, CT for a well-fought win of 1-0 over the Gunnery. The pressure was good back and forth but Taylor Ham '17 changed the momentum of the game, receiving a cross ice pass from Bailey Tymeson '20 for a goal top shelf where mama hides the cookies. The Highlanders continued to get shots off but were unable to find the back of the net, thanks to great defense and a heck of a game by Katie Bishop-Manning '17. With penalties all over the ice, Millbrook came together and had a very strong PK, killing off a 5v3 and 6v4. The game was a great way to the start the last stretch of the season." - Game write up courtesy of Kerry Carr`18
This was the best 48 minutes of hockey played by the mustangs in 2017. They battled all over the ice for 50/50 pucks and truly played together. Between the numerous blocked shots, smart hockey plays, and strong goaltending, the Mustangs came out on top on the score board in a game that defined team play through effort and attitude.
